The Athletic claimed on Monday that Al-Hilal of the Saudi Pro League has offered Paris Saint-Germain a record-breaking bid for forward Kylian Mbappe in the amount of €300 million (about Rs. 2716.70 crore).

The PSG striker’s contract, who is 24 years old, expires in 2024. He could have extended it by a year, but he let the club know in writing last month that he had no plans to do so.

If Mbappe choose to remain in Paris, he would be allowed to speak with and sign a pre-contract deal with a new team starting in January. Mbappe scored 41 goals in 43 outings for PSG this season across all competitions.

However, superstar forward Kylian Mbappe “must sign a new contract” if he wants to stay at the club for the upcoming season, according to club president Nasser al-Khelaifi. Despite rumors that Real Madrid was interested in signing Mbappe, the French league winner signed him from Monaco for €180 million in 2017 and he signed a fresh two-year contract last year.

Mbappe is not a part of PSG’s team during its preseason tour of Asia.

We’ll have more soon.
