In light of a potential terrorist attack, the United States has approved the transfer of American government officials and their families from Abuja.
The permitted departure status, which allows family members and some workers to voluntarily leave because of the increased danger of terrorist attacks, was granted to Embassy Abuja on October 25, 2022, according to the terror alert.
