At the ongoing World Championships in Budapest, Hungary, on Wednesday, August 23, world champion Tobi Amusan qualified for the 100-meter hurdles final.

The global hurdles record holder recovered quickly despite a sluggish start, finishing in 12.56 seconds to beat Dutch Nadine Visser and Jamacian Achkara Nungent.

With a time of 12.56 seconds, the Nigerian athlete won the second semifinal and advanced to the final, which is scheduled for Thursday night, August 24.
