Nigeria’s sprint sensation, Tobi Amusan, blazed her way to a silver medal in the women’s 100m hurdles at the Tokyo 2025 World Championships on Monday.

Amusan, 28, powered through the final in 12.29 seconds, a performance that confirmed her status as one of the world’s leading hurdlers. Earlier in the day, she stamped her authority in the semifinals, winning her heat with an impressive 12.36 seconds.

The Nigerian star crossed the finish line ahead of the Netherlands’ Nadine Visser and Poland’s Pia Skrzyszowska, who settled for third and fourth place, respectively.
