AN ADAMAWA MAN WAS ARRESTED FOR ALLEGEDLY STABBING HIS WIFE TO DEATH AFTER SHE SEIZED HIS PHONE.

The Adamawa State Police Command has arrested Ibrahim Abubakar, a 33-year-old man, for stabbing to death his 25-year-old wife, Hajara Sa’adu.

The suspect, a butcher and inhabitant of Sabon Gari-Futy in Girei LGA, subdued the dead by stabbing her multiple times with a sharp knife on her back, resulting in severe injuries and left her in a pool of blood.

The State Command PRO, SP Suleiman Yahaya Nguroje, revealed that the suspect brutally killed the dead on April 8 at around 4:30 am, after he accused her of taking away his phone, which led to little altercation.

The suspect was caught following the deceased’s father’s report to police, and a preliminary investigation was undertaken, resulting in the recovery of material evidence at the scene of the crime that is related to him.

The suspect readily confessed, saying he regretted k+lling the mother of their sole kid.
