Angel Lawson campaign office: The Action Democratic Party (ADP) governorship candidate in Rivers State, Angel A. Lawson, has commissioned the Team Go Angel Campaign Office ahead of the 2027 governorship election, with a pledge to make poverty reduction the focus of his campaign.

Lawson announced the campaign message, “Time to Alleviate Poverty,” during the commissioning ceremony in 2026. He said the office would serve as a centre for campaign coordination, public engagement and discussions on the future of Rivers State.

He said the campaign would focus on expanding economic opportunities, creating jobs and improving living conditions.

Lawson outlines poverty reduction agenda

Lawson said his campaign would prioritise young people seeking employment, small business owners, farmers, traders, artisans and women looking to expand their economic activities.

He also identified healthcare, education, security, electricity and clean water as essential services that communities need.

According to him, Rivers State must translate its human and natural resources into tangible benefits for residents.

He said his proposed development priorities included supporting small and medium-sized businesses, strengthening agriculture, developing the blue economy and promoting digital innovation.

Lawson also stressed the importance of peace, security, responsible public spending and accountable leadership in achieving development.

Campaign office to coordinate activities

The ADP candidate said the new office would provide a platform for residents and stakeholders to share ideas and raise concerns about governance.

He urged campaign officials and volunteers to engage residents respectfully, listen to their concerns and focus discussions on practical solutions.

Lawson said the campaign would require careful planning, measurable objectives and accountability to the public.

He also thanked the ADP leadership, party members, supporters and volunteers for their contributions to the campaign.

Lawson calls for public participation

Lawson invited Rivers residents at home and abroad to participate in discussions about the state’s future.

He encouraged citizens to examine the campaign’s proposals, ask questions and demand clear explanations of its plans.

As the 2027 governorship election approaches, Lawson said his campaign would continue to promote its message of poverty reduction and economic opportunity.

He called for peaceful democratic participation and urged residents to respect political differences.

The candidate concluded by reiterating his campaign message: “Time to Alleviate Poverty.”
