Real Betis confirmed the loan move of Brazilian winger Antony from Manchester United on Saturday, with the deal set to last until the season’s end. Antony’s professional journey began at São Paulo in 2018, where he made his first-team debut. After two and a half seasons in Brazil, he moved to Ajax in 2020, where his performances – including 24 goals in 82 matches – earned him significant recognition. During his time in the Netherlands, he helped Ajax secure two league titles and a Dutch cup.

This strong track record led to a transfer to Manchester United in the summer of 2022. With the Red Devils, Antony won both the League Cup and the FA Cup. Additionally, he has represented Brazil on the international stage, playing at the 2022 FIFA World Cup and winning a gold medal at the 2020 Tokyo Olympics.
