The All Progressives Congress (APC) Monitoring Committee for the Governorship and House of Assembly primaries in Oyo State has called on all aspirants to accept the outcome of the exercise in good faith and close ranks for party unity.

Chief Ayo Afolabi, who chairs the monitoring committee and also serves as the APC Publicity Secretary in the South-West, made the appeal while overseeing the gubernatorial primary at Ward 3, Ibadan North Local Government Area on Thursday.

Afolabi said the committee observed an orderly process across polling points and expressed satisfaction with the conduct of party members and the overall atmosphere of the exercise.

He commended participants for their discipline and urged aspirants to prioritise the stability of the party above personal ambition.

“What the monitoring committee has observed today is the orderly conduct of members. We are satisfied with the process. My advice to aspirants is to accept the outcome in good faith,” he said.

Also speaking, governorship aspirant, Barrister Sharafadeen Alli, who participated in the voting exercise, described the primary as peaceful and transparent.

Alli urged fellow contenders and party members to rally behind whoever eventually emerges as the party’s flagbearer, stressing the need for unity ahead of the 2027 general elections.

“The process is free and fair. I appeal to all aspirants to accept the results and support whoever emerges. We must work together to reclaim Agodi Government House in 2027,” he said.
