The All Progressives Congress (APC) has officially sworn in Dr. Yilwatda Nentawe as its new National Chairman. The swearing-in took place during an emergency National Executive Committee (NEC) meeting held on Wednesday at the Presidential Villa in Abuja.
The ceremony was conducted in the presence of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, Senate President Godswill Akpabio, Speaker of the House of Representatives Tajudeen Abbas, several APC governors, senators, and members of the National Working Committee (NWC).
The announcement was made by Imo State Governor and Chairman of the Progressive Governors’ Forum, Senator Hope Uzodimma, who reaffirmed the party’s confidence in Nentawe’s leadership.
Dr. Nentawe, who had earlier been appointed to lead the ruling party, officially assumed duties after taking the oath of office at the NEC gathering.
In his remarks after the swearing-in, Nentawe promised to uphold discipline, foster unity, and reposition the APC for greater victories in future elections.
