The APC Women Presidential Campaign Team paid a visit to Makurdi, the capital of Benue State, on Monday as part of efforts to reach communities affected by floods, to identify with victims and deliver aid.

A delegation headed by Senator Oluremi Tinubu, the wife of the APC presidential candidate, and Hajiya Nana Shettima, the wife of the APC vice presidential candidate, informed the state governor, Dr. Samuel Ortom, that they had come to the state to express their condolences to the people regarding the unfortunate flood incident that had wreaked havoc on several communities.

The delegation’s leader stated that the women’s campaign team had made the decision to travel to states hit by the flood and provide aid before the 2023 presidential elections because they felt the sorrow and knew the difficulty the flood had caused people across the nation.

While delivering the relief supplies, Senator Oluremi Tinubu made an announcement about a N10 million cash contribution to support 200 people with N50,000 apiece so they can operate small enterprises.
