Kaduna State has earned international praise for its stability and unity under Governor Uba Sani, despite its history of ethno-religious crises. The 105th Archbishop of Canterbury, His Grace Justin Portal Welby, lauded the Governor’s efforts during a courtesy visit to Sir Kashim Ibrahim House on Saturday.

Archbishop Welby recalled his first visit to Kaduna in 2002, a period marked by deep ethno-religious tensions and recurring conflicts. He noted that the state has since experienced relative peace, attributing the transformation to Governor Uba Sani’s administration.

“The progress and cohesion in Kaduna State prompted my visit today,” the Archbishop said, emphasizing the importance of reconciliation and sustained unity.

Governor Uba Sani welcomed the commendation and highlighted the achievements of the Kaduna Peace Model, a framework focused on good governance, inclusivity, and equitable development. He emphasized that no ethno-religious crises have occurred since he assumed office, underscoring the administration’s commitment to dialogue, justice, and development across all communities.

“Our administration remains dedicated to sustaining peace and promoting unity throughout Kaduna State,” the Governor affirmed, reiterating the impact of the Kaduna Peace Model over the past two and a half years.
