Operatives of the 9th Mile Division of the Enugu State Police Command have arrested two men, Chime Valentine Chidiebere and Alior Jideofor Kenechukwu, in connection with an armed robbery incident. The arrest occurred on February 6, 2025, following credible intelligence.
The suspects are accused of snatching a motorcycle from a commercial rider on January 5, 2025, after shooting him in the left thigh. They then fled the scene with the stolen motorcycle. During the arrest, police recovered the stolen motorcycle, three locally made firearms, and two live cartridges.
The victim of the robbery is currently recovering from the gunshot injury. Police are continuing their investigations and working to apprehend the suspects’ accomplices, who remain at large. The two arrested suspects will be arraigned once the investigation is complete.
