Arsenal earned a crucial 1-0 victory over Wolverhampton Wanderers on Saturday, with Riccardo Calafiori’s second-half strike proving decisive. The match was marked by a pair of controversial red cards, as Myles Lewis-Kelly was sent off for Arsenal just before halftime, and Wolves’ Joao Gomes followed suit with 20 minutes remaining. Despite the numerical disadvantage, Calafiori, who came on as a substitute in the second half, scored four minutes after his introduction to give Arsenal all three points.

The win keeps Arsenal firmly in the race for the Premier League title, remaining second in the table, six points behind leaders Liverpool, who have played one less game. The Gunners are now three points ahead of third-place Nottingham Forest. Wolves, who have struggled this season, stay just above the relegation zone in 17th place.

In another important Premier League fixture, Everton secured a 1-0 win at Brighton & Hove Albion, thanks to Iliman Ndiaye’s first-half penalty. Brighton’s Joel Veltman handled the ball under pressure from Beto, and Ndiaye made no mistake from the spot, placing the ball in the bottom left corner. Despite sustained pressure from Brighton in the second half, Everton’s defense held firm, and the visitors moved seven points clear of the relegation zone.

Brighton, on a seven-match unbeaten run, failed to find an equalizer, and they remain in ninth place in the standings. Everton’s win lifts them to 16th, with two victories from their last three matches under new manager David Moyes.
