ARTIST CHIKE JUST ABOUT AVOIDS AN ATTACK BY GUNMEN IN ABUJA

The popular Afro-pop artist Chike Agada just managed to avoid being shot by unidentified gunmen in Abuja.

The musician revealed the news on Tuesday on his X account.

Chike thanked God and the DSS for their swift assistance and assurance of his safety, looking back on the last 24 hours as a monument to his life.

He gave the explanation that he realized he was being followed after leaving his friend’s restaurant and lounge.

Chike revealed that when his driver started to speed, the gunmen opened fire on his car.

The singer clarified that he was unaffected by the few gunshots.

“The last 24 hours have been a true testimony,” he wrote. I had just walked out of my friend’s restaurant and club in Abuja when I realized someone was following me.

As soon as I told the driver to put his foot on the accelerator while traveling on the Guzape Expressway, they began firing intermittently at my car. I departed that place unscathed, thus I give thanks to God.

“And I would like to convey my appreciation for the assistance that the @OfficialDSSNG provided in ensuring my security.”
