Popular Nigerian singer Asake has mended ties with his father and reunited with his daughter and baby mama, following weeks of intense public criticism over alleged neglect.

The reconciliation followed sustained backlash from netizens and celebrities who accused the artiste of abandoning his family after attaining fame and wealth. The controversy escalated earlier in 2025 when his baby mama, Adijat, publicly alleged that the singer cut off support despite her loyalty during his struggling years.

In March 2025, the situation deepened after Asake’s father, Fatai Odunsi, a stroke survivor, also accused him of abandonment, drawing widespread sympathy and further condemnation online.

Amid the backlash, Asake reportedly reached out to his father, pledging to cover his medical expenses and provide him with a house. On Friday morning, a photo of the singer standing alongside his father surfaced online, signalling a thaw in their strained relationship.
