Following Israel’s announcement that it will be intensifying its strikes, the Hamas authorities reported on Sunday that at least 55 Palestinians had died in overnight raids on the Gaza Strip.
Following the most recent bombing night in response to the Hamas attacks on Israel on October 7, the government press office released a statement stating, “More than 55 martyrs.”
It further stated that in the hours following an announcement by an Israeli military official that more operations would occur, over thirty homes had been demolished.
According to the Hamas administration, since the war began, Israel has carried out operations that have killed over 4,300 people, the majority of whom were civilians. These raids were in retaliation for the greatest onslaught Israel has ever faced, which claimed 1,400 lives.
Tens of thousands of Israeli soldiers have gathered around Gaza in preparation for the much anticipated ground assault. It claims that numerous Hamas officials and military commanders have already been slain by its daily raids.
An Israeli military spokesman declared late on Saturday, “We are increasing the strikes and minimising the danger starting today.” “We’re going to have more attacks, so I’ve called on the people of Gaza City to keep moving south for their safety.”
Before beginning any ground action, Israel has repeatedly advised the 1.1 million residents of Gaza’s northern region to relocate south.
Notwithstanding the arrival of 20 trucks in the Palestinian territories on Saturday, the Hamas authorities also criticized the paucity of aid that was being delivered. It stated that the enclave now housed 1.4 million displaced individuals.
“Gaza still needs more help than what was delivered in a single day. The statement said, “We demand that the Israeli government bring in thousands of trucks by applying pressure to the international community.”Israel Increases Gaza Strikes, Resulting in at least 55 Dead.
