David Adeleke, best known by his stage name Davido, is a Nigerian Afrobeat sensation who has confirmed he will provide a live performance at the Qatar 2022 World Cup closing ceremony.

Stephen Hung, a Chinese businessman, revealed the news on his Instagram account on Thursday. He said the singer has confirmed he would be performing at the closing event, which is set for December 18, 2022.

“So glad my sibling #davido confirmed he will perform at the World Cup closing ceremony in Qatar,” he added. I’m excited to meet him there.

The singer of “Fem” will be making his return to the stage for the first time after the untimely passing of his son, Ifeanyi Adeleke, on October 31, 2022.

Earlier, Davido appeared on the Qatar 2022 World Cup theme song, “Better Together,” together with Trinidad Cardona and Aisha.

The multiple award winner will play on various platforms at the Qatar 2022 World Cup along with Nigerian artists Kizz Daniel, Patoranking, and the singer of the song “Buga.”
