Ahead of Alhaji Atiku Abubarkar’s visit to Delta State as the PDP’s presidential candidate in the upcoming general elections, a political pressure group called Person-to-Person Campaign Group has urged Deltans to show out in large numbers to welcome the former vice president and his entourage.

Dr. Victor Onyema Ebenuwa, the group’s national chairman, said the visit gave Deltans another chance to reaffirm the PDP’s dominance in the state and to express their gratitude for the party’s selection of Governor Ifeanyi Okowa as Alhaji Atiku Abubarkar’s running mate.

Ebenuwa emphasized the need for every Nigerian to participate in the “Rescue Nigeria Project” of Atiku Abubarkar and Dr. Ifeanyi Okowa and noted that the national huge movement by the PDP to recover what is left of the country as a result of APC maladministration at the center was on track.

The PDP’s 5 over 5 triumphs in the general elections were credited to the tremendous support of Deltans during the state-wide PDP ward-to-ward and local government-to-local government campaigns, according to the grassroots politician and social mobilizer.

He cautioned against the antics of APC members and their false promises, saying the party ought to be apologizing to Nigerians for destroying the nation rather than going door-to-door to solicit votes from the poor.

Ebenuwa emphasized that the Atiku-Okowa ticket was the only option moving forward to rebuild Nigeria, noting that no sector of the country’s economy had been spared by the APC’s poor leadership.

He asserted that the PDP will win the upcoming general elections because the party was dedicated to the aspirations and longings of Nigerians.

Assuring that everyone will be well accommodated in the administration with Okowa as Vice President, he begged all the PDP founding fathers in the state to work along with the governor to deliver Delta massively for PDP.

Senator Ifeanyi Okowa was characterized by Ebenuwa as a team player who wouldn’t desert any member of his squad.
