According to numerous sources, defender Matt Doherty was on loan from English Premier League team Tottenham Hotspur to Spanish club Atletico Madrid on Monday.
There are currently no buy options contained in the contract for the 31-year-old player, who will sign with Atletico until the conclusion of this season.
Tottenham’s only other right-back option after Doherty’s departure would be Emerson Royal.
