Prof. Lucian Chukwu, who oversees management services, and Prof. Ayodele Atsenuwa, who oversees development services, have both been reappointed for another two years as deputy vice chancellors at the University of Lagos (UNILAG) Akoka.
Mrs. Joke-Alaga Ibraheem, the university’s spokeswoman, revealed this in a statement made accessible to newsmen.
She claimed that the university’s governing board had approved their reappointments at its regularly scheduled meeting on March 31.
She mentioned that their election at the University Senate meeting nine days prior led to their confirmation.
Ibraheem pointed out that both Chukwu and Prof. Atsenuwa are ineligible for re-election, and that Chukwu’s renewed tenure will begin on April 24, 2023, whereas Prof. Atsenuwa’s renewed tenure began on March 29.
Whereas Prof. Chukwu is a former director of academic planning for the institution and an expert in ecotoxicology and environmental risk and effect assessment techniques, Atsenuwa is a professor of public law and the former dean of UNILAG’s College of Law.
The two were congratulated on their reappointments by the university community and in particular by the vice-chancellor, Prof. Folashade Ogunsola, who also wished them a fruitful tenure.
