Nigerian Afropop star Ayra Starr has clapped back at an American woman who accused her of “dancing with the devil” following her recent signing with Jay-Z’s Roc Nation.

The drama began after the singer shared playful photos on her X handle, joking about her breasts getting bigger. She captioned the pictures: “Really dnt knw hw to act with these new tiddiesss.”

The lighthearted post drew a controversial response from a U.S. woman who linked Starr’s post to her Roc Nation deal. The woman alleged that it was “impossible to work with Jay-Z without dancing with the devil,” before adding, “One thing about working with Jay Z you gotta dance with the devil baby… Literally.”

Ayra Starr swiftly shut down the claim with a short but fiery response: “Back to sender babyyyy.”

Since inking her Roc Nation deal last month, the 22-year-old singer has become a frequent target of online conspiracy theories. In July, rumours circulated that her five-year contract with the U.S.-based label barred her from dating or starting a family. She dismissed the claims at the time, calling them baseless.

Despite the controversy, Ayra Starr continues to make waves internationally, cementing her status as one of Nigeria’s fastest-rising music exports.
