Anyone interested in entering the United States army is welcome to get in touch with Amanda Azuibike, a freshly appointed United States Brigadier-General of Nigerian heritage.
The previous week, Azubuike received a promotion from Lieutenant Colonel to Brigadier General.
In a recent ceremony, she was elevated to the rank at a military installation in Fort Knox, Kentucky, in the United States.
No matter one’s occupation or specialty, the senior army officer claimed on her official Linkedin account that there are several prospects in the U.S. army.
She stated that anyone who is interested in joining the force or knows someone who is should get in touch with her directly.
“I consider it an honor to work with the US Army Cadet Command and develop the next generation of Army leaders. For individuals looking for a sense of purpose and service, there are numerous alternatives available. The Army offers a wide variety of options, careers, and scholarships, as I quickly learned in life. If you or someone you know aspires to be an Army officer, PLEASE CONTACT ME. Whatever success means to YOU, the Army can help you achieve it. We want to be a part of your journey, she added.
Speaking about her service in the US army, Gen. Azuibike claimed that she was able to enlist even before becoming a citizen of the country. She continued by saying that she is equally as proud of her Nigerian roots and heritage as she is of becoming an American.
“My experience is special, and you can learn a little about it in my halting but sincere speech (beginning at minute 24:50): https://lnkd.in/g277H6Ub. As I mentioned in my address,
I joined the U.S. military before I was even a citizen, but I always felt this nation was wonderful, worth fighting for, and truly the land of opportunity – I am very proud of my ancestry and ethnic roots, but I am equally as pleased to be an American and to serve in the world’s best Army!
Amanda, who was born in London, England, to parents who were from Nigeria, enlisted in the US Army in 1994 and eventually advanced to the rank of pilot after graduating the Army Aviation Officer Basic Course.
