“Here, the situation is not very surprising because everyone thinks that Gareth Bale is going to leave. Today was his eighth training session in a row alone, and he’s the only player yet to go out onto the grass. He’s been training in the gym.

“Yesterday, Madrid played in Valdebebas against Getafe in a friendly and won 6-0 but in the 30th minute, Bale left the training complex. Everyone thinks he’s going to leave as there’s not been a face-to-face with Zinedine Zidane since he played for Wales in the Nations League.

“People have been surprised with his agent Jonathan Barnett saying that Spurs is an option as up until yesterday, those inside the club hadn’t dismissed the possibility of him going to Manchester United. But now it appears it is Tottenham that will be his final destination.”
