Dogo Maikasuwa, a known bandit leader in Kaduna State, was slain by security forces.
This information was provided in a statement that was signed by Samuel Aruwan, the Commissioner of Internal Security and Home Affairs in Kaduna.
Dogo Maikasuwa, also known as “Dogo Maimillion,” allegedly organized a string of assaults and kidnappings on commuters on the Kaduna-Kachia Road and in localities in the Chikun and Kajuru LGAs.

“The infamous bandit commander known as ‘Dogo Maikasuwa’ has met his end after a period of terrorizing residents and eluding security officers, the Kaduna State Government can authoritatively confirm.
“Security agencies operational feedback made the public aware of the development. The bandit leader’s neutralized image is depicted in a blur in the statement’s attachment.
“Painstaking investigations uncovered atrocities he committed inaccessible places with impunity.
“Dogo Maikasuwa, also known as “Dogo Maimillion,” was the leader of a string of assaults and kidnappings of residents living in communities along the Kaduna-Kachia Road and in the Chikun and Kajuru LGAs. He was one of the fiercest bandits, organizing other criminals to terrorize the local populace.
“According to human intelligence sources, he was constantly carrying an AK47 gun and wearing green military fatigues. He appeared in this way throughout the battle with the security personnel, which ultimately ended with his death.
“It was also discovered that he directed his bandits to carry out harsh operations, including killing abducted people when ransoms were delayed or deemed insufficient.
“In his last stand, the famed bandit and his foot men encountered an ambush set up by agents in a forest near the Chikun and Kajuru borders in the Gengere-Kaso general area.
The statement claims that following a bloody battle, the security forces neutralized the bandit leader and found an AK-47 rifle, a magazine, five rounds of ammo, two motorcycles, and a pair of camouflage military fatigues.
“The other bandits fled after being shot. Further information revealed that one of them perished from wounds received during the hard combat, and other fleeing components dragged his body away.
The statement said, “The Governor of Kaduna State, Malam Nasir El-Rufai, gratefully received the response and thanked the personnel for their gallantry in the difficult battle against the bandits.
