On Tuesday, Benue State Governor, Samuel Ortom has said the raiding of bandits hideout should be extended to the North Central geopolitical region.

He declared this at the Benue Peoples House in Makurdi, the state capital, while receiving members of the Niger Delta Bishop’s Voice and Minister’s Forum, NDBVAMF.

Ortom, noted that “raiding of bandits’ hideout in Zamfara State, and extension to the North Central would flush out the bandits and bring peace to the region.

He decried the terrible state of “insecurity and corruption in the country under the All Progressives Congress, APC-led administration at the centre, saying his commitment is to the peace and unity of Nigeria and nothing more.

Ortom commended NDBVAMF for its solidarity with the people of Benue State, stressing that as a student of the Bible, he is aware that God’s wrath would visit any leader who took an oath by the Bible or Quran and goes against its provisions.

National President of NDNVAMF, Archbishop Moses Omonkhuale while urging enemies of Benue to leave the state for good, encouraged Governor Ortom to remain courageous, describing him as the David of his time.

He said God would defend His name in the Governor by putting enemies of the state to shame.

Bishop-Elect, Silas Nwafor, who read the speech by the Bishops, decreed that enemies of Benue who come by air, land or sea will fail at all times.
