Terrorist organizations and their leaders have made it known that they are willing to put down their weapons and work with the administration of Katsina State to forge a solid peace deal that all parties will be obligated to uphold.
During a media interview with local newsmen in Katsina, Ibrahim Ahmad Katsina, Special Adviser to the Governor of Katsina State on Security Matters, made the aforementioned disclosure. He also insisted that the bandits’ leaders have realized what the future holds for them thanks to the state government’s plan to create a framework for their growth and development and a realistic future.
He said that the state government’s ongoing initiative to instill courage in its residents had begun to show promise, with the frequency of banditry attacks dropping to an absolute minimum.
The government and the people’s joint efforts to support the security agencies would soon put an end to criminal activities like banditry, abduction, and other similar crimes.
He also noted that the state government had trained 1,100 volunteer, highly educated community vigilante corps who are prepared to help their towns survive. He claimed that this effort was intended to send a message to bandits to embrace peace.
He explained that the state administration had established an extremely powerful commission with the state deputy governor as its chairman to conduct an unparalleled census of victims of banditry.
He explained that this was done to prevent the victims from becoming vulnerable and to stop a second cycle of violence after banditry has ended.
Therefore, we are using straightforward psychological techniques to control how the perception of the kids of banditry victims is managed. We want to suffocate them because we know that the offspring of victims of banditry attacks will want to exact retribution.
“We will offer the widows options for meaningful employment, as well as training in skills and trades, and we will enroll their kids in schools. Positive outcomes are emerging from this initiative.
The state’s good citizens were given assurances by the Special Adviser on Security Matters that the upcoming general election in 2023 would be conducted in a peaceful and democratic way throughout the entire state.
