The body of former Kajuru Local Government Chairman, Hon. Ibrahim Gajere, has been recovered days after he was declared missing in the wake of a brutal bandit attack on Kajuru community in Kaduna State.

Gajere went missing when armed bandits stormed the area, unleashing violence that left several residents dead and others abducted. The assault threw the community into panic, with families scrambling for information about their loved ones.

A reliable source confirmed that the late chairman’s family was contacted after his body was discovered. The development has plunged Kajuru into mourning, as residents struggle to come to terms with the loss.

Jonathan Danjuma, a resident of the community, lamented the killing, describing Gajere as a calm, intelligent leader who contributed meaningfully to local governance. He offered prayers for the repose of the former chairman’s soul and extended condolences to the bereaved family.

The tragic killing has further heightened concerns over rising insecurity in Kajuru and surrounding communities, where repeated bandit attacks have continued to claim lives and disrupt livelihoods.
