The Bayelsa State Police Command has apprehended Onyekachi Ikowa, the second-in-command to TuBaba, the leader of the notorious Icelander cult group in Rivers State. The arrest comes in connection to the alleged murder of Late SP Bako Angbashim, the former Divisional Police Officer (DPO) of Ahoada Division in Rivers State.

According to a statement from CSP Asinim Butswat, the Bayelsa State Police Public Relations Officer, the arrest was made following intelligence reports that Ikowa had been hiding in Yenagoa after the heinous murder of SP Angbashim in September. Acting on these reports, the Commissioner of Police for Bayelsa State, Mr Francis Iduh, ordered for Ikowa to be apprehended.

The 43-year-old suspect has now been handed over to the police in Rivers State for further investigation.
