MultiChoice is happy to announce that the winner of BBNaija Season 7 Phyna and rider Chizzy will travel to Qatar with sports professionals and commentators for the 2022 FIFA World Cup, which is scheduled to commence on November 20, 2022.
After the SuperSport Prize presentation and the raffle draw game at a private launch event, this news was made. On Saturday, October 29, 2022, all 28 BBNaija Level Up housemates and MultiChoice Nigeria CEO John Ugbe were in attendance at Eko Energy City in Victoria Island, Lagos.
Ugbe gave the housemates advice on how to share their experiences and stand out throughout the event. He added that although MultiChoice had provided them a platform, it was up to them to use it to establish their stardom. He also counseled students to find their own specialty rather than follow the crowd. He also revealed the winners of the lottery draw and gave the women their SuperSport prizes.
“MultiChoice is committed to provide young Nigerians with life-changing chances, and we have the platform to always present their unique talent and ideas,” John Ugbe stated in a speech to the housemates.
At the exclusive luncheon, there were other winners besides Phyna and Chizzy. Today, the BBNaija Level Up season’s General Entertainment girls earned their awards for winning the SuperSport task within the house. A total of 2 million Naira was provided to the six women to divide among themselves. Along with the other roommates, the women also received brand-new DStv Explora boxes and a one-year Showmax Pro subscription as part of a DStv Premium subscription package.
The 2022 FIFA World Cup, hailed as the biggest football tournament ever, will be held in Doha, Qatar at the Al-Bayt stadium from November 20 to December 18, 2022. Phyna and Chizzy will go to some of the games and post on social media about their experiences.
Nigerian musicians will also perform during the 2022 World Cup opening ceremony. The official theme song for the Qatar 2022 World Cup features award-winning artist David Adeleke, better known by his stage name Davido, who will also perform at the opening ceremony. He sang the theme song, “Hayya Hayya (Better Together),” with Qatari superstar Aisha and US actress Trinidad Cardona. The tournament this year will also feature a performance by the musician Kizz Daniel.
In keeping with her normal style, Phyna said the following when discussing her win to represent Qatar in the FIFA World Cup competition: “I don’t write the rules, grace just calls my name, and I answer, see you all in Qatar.” Chizzy, on the other hand, stated: “This can only be God’s grace,” adding that she was “very pleased for this” and “grateful to MultiChoice for making my journey easy.”
All 62 games will be broadcast live on DStv for DStv and GOtv members. MultiChoice will further provide commentary in Pidgin English, Yoruba, Igbo, and Hausa, four Nigerian languages.
