The National Examination Council revealed the internal results of the 2023 Senior School Certificate Examination on Tuesday.
According to the examination body’s Registrar, Prof. Dantani Wushishi, the result summary shows that 61.60% received five credits, including English and Mathematics.
12,030, or 0.07 percent, compared to 13,594, or 0.13 percent, in 2022.
The total number of candidates who registered for the exam was 1,205,888, with 1,196,985 sitting for the exams.
580,587 females and 616,398 males took the examination.
Candidates having five or more credits, including English and math, were 737, 308 in total.
Without accounting for English and mathematics, there are 1,013,611 candidates who have five credits, or 84.68 percent.
