A fire broke out on a small section of the Lagos Blue Line track near the NEPA Station, close to Eko Bridge in the Apogbon area of Lagos State. The incident occurred at 4:12 p.m. on Saturday, as reported by Gboyega Akosile, the spokesperson for Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu, on his X.com account.

Fortunately, no casualties were reported, and train services were not operating at the time. Emergency teams, along with first responders, quickly extinguished the flames. Akosile reassured residents that the situation is now under control, allowing Lagosians in the area to resume their daily activities peacefully.
