Alan Fisher, the owner of an Irish restaurant, has overthrown Nigerian chef Hilda Baci as the record holder for the longest cooking marathon.
Fisher cooked for 119 hours and 57 minutes, shattering the record for the longest cooking marathon for a single person.
His achievement surpassed Baci’s previous record by almost twenty-four hours.
With a time of 47 hours and 21 minutes, Fisher, a chef who runs his restaurant in Japan, also holds the record for the longest baking marathon for an individual.
With a time of 31 hours 16 minutes, Wendy Sandner (USA) held the previous record.
Fisher’s record was revealed by Guinness World Records on Tuesday on X, formerly known as Twitter.
