BREAKING: KOGI COUNCIL CHAIRMAN PASSES AWAY JUST HOURS BEFORE GOVERNORSHIP POLL

The deceased is Muhammad Danasabe Muhammad, the chairman of the Lokoja Local Government Council in Kogi State.
Muhammad was pronounced dead at a hospital in the state capital of Lokoja at 4:30 in the morning.

The Chairman of the Council slumped at home and was taken to the hospital.

He reportedly participated actively in a number of political gatherings ahead of the state’s governorship election on Saturday.

According to a family member who talked with Daily Trust, he was taken to Shifa Hospital in Lokoja right away after collapsing in the late hours of Thursday.

Under the condition of anonymity, the family member stated, “Doctors confirmed him clinically dead around 4.30 am on Friday.”

The deceased came from Lokoja’s ward B cantonment area.

On Friday, following the Juma’at prayer, he will be laid to rest in the Unguwan Kura Muslim cemetery.

On Friday morning, sympathizers allegedly flocked to his family’s home in the Lokoja cantonment area to offer their condolences for his untimely death.

His wife, kids, and mother all survive him.
