Babatunji Wusu –
Now that Lucky Orimisan Aiyedatiwa is the new governor of Ondo State, he has taken the oath of office.
The state chief judge, Justice Olusegun Odusola, administered Aiyedatiwa’s oath of office on Wednesday in the Cocoa Conference Hall of the governor’s office in Akure, the state capital.
Following a protracted battle with prostate cancer and leukemia, former governor Rotimi Akeredolu passed away in the early hours of Wednesday, coinciding with his swearing-in.
Aiyedatiwa was forced to return to Akure for the swearing-in event, as was previously reported, and to shorten his vacation.
