The National Examinations Council (NECO) has officially released the 2024 SSCE internal results. This announcement was made by NECO’s Registrar and Chief Executive, Professor Dantani Wushishi, during a press briefing in Minna on September 19.

Professor Wushishi revealed that the examination body has taken significant disciplinary actions, including blacklisting 21 supervisors across 12 states for various infractions such as poor supervision, aiding and abetting cheating, and other unethical behaviors. Additionally, one school in Ekiti State has been de-recognized due to mass cheating in two core subjects and one science subject.

In total, 40 schools were found to be involved in widespread cheating across 17 states. These institutions will be summoned by NECO for discussions, after which appropriate sanctions will be determined. Further details on these developments are expected to follow.
