Tunji Wusu –
The Presidential Election Petitions Tribunal has postponed decision on the petition brought by Peter Obi, presidential candidate of the Labour Party (LP), to challenge President Bola Tinubu’s (APC) win in the February 25 election.
The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) proclaimed Tinubu the winner of the election, but Obi contested the result and went to the Tribunal.
Obi and his running mate, Datti Baba-Ahmed, stated in their last written address on July 20 that Tinubu was not qualified to run for office.
On Tuesday, Obi and Datti appeared in court with acclaimed novelist and academic Chimamanda Adichie.
The court has deferred ruling on the appeal of Atiku Abubakar, the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) presidential candidate.
