The International English Language Testing System (IELTS) exams will now cost Nigerians N107,500, according to the British Council.

According to the British Council, which oversees the assessment test for immigrants planning to work or study in the UK, the increased fee, which was previously roughly N90,000, will be charged to Nigerians starting in September 2023.

“Dear valued test taker, we would like to let you know that there will be an increase in the cost of IELTS exams provided by the British Council beginning on September 1, 2023.

IELTS Academic and IELTS General Training will now cost NGN 107,500, UK Visas and Immigration (UKVI) will now cost NGN 116,000, and Life Skills will now cost NGN 104,000.

The increased costs are required to maintain the high requirements for your testing procedure.
