The Most Reverend David Onuoha, the Anglican Archbishop of Owerri Province, has received congratulations from President Muhammadu Buhari after being elected as the National President of the Christian Council of Nigeria (CCN).

The Christian Association of Nigeria is made up of five blocs, and CCN is one of them (CAN).

In a statement released on Saturday in Abuja, the president’s spokesman, Mr. Femi Adesina, expressed his congratulations.

Onuoha was chosen at Andrew’s Basilica Trans Ekulu, Enugu, during the 31st General Assembly/93rd Anniversary of CCN.

The president claims that Onuoha’s election is evidence of his fervor for God, good theological schooling, enthusiasm for ecumenical unity in Nigeria, and outstanding stewardship as a Church Leader.

During his State visit to Imo in September 2021, Buhari recounted with pleasure his final encounter with the Archbishop, who is also the Anglican Bishop of the Diocese of Okigwe South.

The cleric’s unwavering devotion to Nigeria’s unity and prosperity, as well as his advice and prayer for those in positions of responsibility, were acknowledged by the president.

As he begins the next stage of his ministry as the Council’s leader for the upcoming three years, he wished the organizer of the annual “Imo Prays” success.

In a related development, President Buhari celebrated Prince Arthur Eze’s 74th birthday among family, friends, and associates. Prince Arthur Eze was a businessman, politician, and philanthropist who demonstrated how to live for the welfare of his nation, community, and fellow people.

The businessman was born into a royal family in 1948, and the president celebrated with the Ukpo village, Dunukofia Local Council, where he was born.

According to Buhari, Eze “touched the world with an adventurous and daring spirit, increasing the bar for investments in oil and gas in Nigeria and Africa.”

He praised the founder and chairman of the Atlas Oranto Company for his generous nature, love of humanity, and efforts to elevate many people out of poverty and provide aid to those who are less fortunate through scholarships.

He was also praised by President Buhari for aiding state and federal governments in developing infrastructure.

He believes that Eze’s unwavering commitment to democracy and sound administration is a prime example of patriotism. Eze uses his wealth of expertise to advise African and Nigerian leaders on bottom-up development strategies and the necessity of always putting the country first.

For Prince Eze and his family, he prayed for a longer life, good health, and increased affluence.
