Babatunji Wusu –
Former Nigerian leader Muhammadu Buhari has expressed his happiness with the Presidential Election Petitions Tribunal’s (PEPT) decision upholding APC President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s election victory on February 25.
In a statement responding to the decision released on September 6 and signed by his spokesperson, Garba Shehu, Buhari claimed that the Tribunal had “written history” by rejecting intimidation and all forms of bias in order to deliver justice in accordance with the law to the majority of citizens who wished to have their decisions respected.
The democracy and the people are the winners today, if anyone is. With the Supreme Court’s decision, the election season is done, and it’s time to leave the heat and dust in the past.
Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s new APC administration needs everyone’s cooperation going forward in order to fulfill the promises it made to the populace, according to the statement.
