Adepoju Sunday has been officially appointed as the next Postmaster General (PMG) and Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of the Nigerian Postal Service by President Muhammadu Buhari (NIPOST).

This is stated in a statement provided to the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) on Wednesday in Abuja and signed by Uwa Suleiman, the spokesperson for Prof. Isa Pantami, Minister of Communications and Digital Economy.

Suleiman stated: “The appointment was made in accordance with Pantami’s recommendations.”

She stated that Sunday was appointed for a five-year initial term.

The new appointee is a certified public accountant and a former representative for Oyo state’s Ibarapa East/Ido Federal Constituency in the House of Representatives.

The new PMG of NIPOST has been appointed with immediate effect.
