President Muhammadu Buhari expressed outrage over reports that five newborn babies were abducted in Anambra State and ordered an immediate decrease in the region’s escalating crime rate.
The alleged kidnapping had place at Stanley Hospital in the State’s Nkpologwu.
The attackers selected the infants and quickly fled.
In a statement released on Friday by the president’s spokeswoman, Garba Shehu, President Buhari expressed his concern over the bizarre situation and demanded that the case be resolved right away.
He gave the order that hospitals must have impenetrable security to prevent further attacks of this sort.
