The body of former President Muhammadu Buhari will arrive in Katsina State by midday on Tuesday, July 15, ahead of his burial scheduled for 2:00 p.m. in his hometown of Daura.
Governor Dikko Umaru Radda announced the development during a press briefing on Monday in Katsina. The update follows high-level consultations with Buhari’s family and close associates in London, where the former president died.
Governor Radda confirmed that the burial will be conducted according to Islamic rites. He also expressed condolences to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and pledged that the funeral will reflect the dignity of Buhari’s legacy.
He noted that the burial is being jointly coordinated by the Katsina State Government, federal authorities, and the Buhari family to ensure a solemn and honourable farewell.
