Burna Boy, the stage name of Nigerian musician Damini Ogulu, is about to become the first African artist to play live at the Grammy Awards.
Burna Boy has been added to the 2024 Grammy performance program, the Recording Academy revealed in a succinct statement via X on Monday, January 22, 2024.
Luke Combs and Travis Scott were also announced with the ‘African Giant’ crooner.
“Starting Sunday, February 4 at 8 PM ET / 5 PM PT on @CBS, African Giant @BurnaBoy will take the #GRAMMYs stage,” the Grammy organizers posted on official X Twitter.
Dua Lipa, Olivia Rodrigo, and Billie Eilish are among the other acts who were previously confirmed.
