Chelsea and Shakhtar Donetsk are nearing an agreement to bring Ukraine forward Mykhailo Mudryk to the Premier League, both clubs announced on Saturday.

According to British media, the deal will be worth £85 million ($103.92 million), with Mudryk, 22, signing a seven-and-a-half year contract.

Shakhtar stated that the clubs were very close to reaching an agreement.

“Should the two clubs reach an agreement, the Ukrainian international, who can play as a winger or a forward, will discuss personal terms with the Blues ahead of a permanent transfer,” Chelsea said in a statement.

Mudryk, who has only played 65 club games in his career and had previously been linked with a move to Arsenal, was named Shakhtar’s player of the year on Saturday.

According to Sky Sports, Mudryk was on his way to London for a medical on Saturday.
