Christopher Musa orders troops to kill bandits immediately during security equipment commissioning in Sokoto.

Christopher Musa orders troops to kill bandits immediately after deployment, warning that any security operative who delays action while waiting for approval will be treated as a terrorist.

Speaking on Wednesday in Sokoto State, the Minister of Defence issued the directive during the commissioning of 62 operational vehicles and security equipment valued at ₦27.1 billion. The Sokoto State Government procured the equipment to strengthen security operations across the state.

Musa told troops to act without hesitation against armed bandits and terrorists once deployed.

He said any operative who failed to engage criminals because they were waiting for instructions would face serious consequences and be regarded as supporting terrorism.

Furthermore, the minister urged security personnel to protect and maintain the newly commissioned equipment. He noted that the vehicles and other assets represented a significant public investment that should serve the fight against insecurity for years.

According to him, the Federal Government expects the equipment to remain operational, adding that officials would assess its condition after one year to ensure it is properly maintained.

The directive comes as security agencies continue efforts to curb banditry and terrorist attacks in parts of northern Nigeria.
