Chaos broke out early Saturday at Ikoku Market in Port Harcourt when business owners discovered a mutilated body with machete wounds near a bank at Ayama Junction, Olu-Obasanjo Road. The Rivers State Police Command, confirming the incident, revealed that the deceased was believed to be a known troublemaker and may have been lynched.

A witness, identified only as Emeka, described the disturbing scene, stating that the man’s abdomen was severely injured, though authorities later clarified that reports of missing organs were inaccurate. Police spokesperson Grace Iringe-Koko emphasized that all of the victim’s organs remained intact and assured that an investigation is ongoing.
