Court remands individual for supposed endeavored Sexual assault

A Kaduna Cheif Magistrates’ court on Wednesday requested that a 27-year elderly person, Musa Haruna, be remanded in a restorative office for purportedly endeavoring to assault a nine-year-old young lady.

The Justice, Ibrahim Emmanuel, who didn’t take the supplication of Haruna so that absence of locale might be able to hear the matter arranged the police to return the case record to the Kaduna State Overseer of Public Arraignment for lawful counsel.

He nonetheless, concluded the matter until Sept. 30.

Haruna, who lives at Ungwan Rimi Kaduna, is accused of endeavored assault.

The investigator, Insp. Chidi Leo, let the court know that the respondent committed the offense on Sept. 2 at his home.

Leo said the respondent baited the nine-year-old into his room and endeavored to assault her.
The investigator added that the young lady’s shout alarmed a few neighbors who protected her and gave the litigant to the police.

The offense, he said, contradicted the arrangements of Area 207 of the Kaduna State Reformatory Code Regulation, 2017(as changed).
