COVID-19: Former Ondo NMA Chairman Passes On

Former chairman of the Nigerian Medical Association in Ondo State, Dr Michael Adeyeri, died of coronavirus.

A source made it known that Adeyeri passed away in his private hospital at Alagbaka area of Akure in Ondo State after attending to a patient.

It was also said that Adeyeri was earlier taken to the Federal Medical Centre, Owo after developing some symptoms of COVID-19.

His death was confirmed to journalists on Thursday by Dr. Wale Oke, the current NMA chairman of the state.

Adeyeri’s death came barely a week after the state Commissioner for Health, Dr Wahab Adegbenro, died of the same virus.
