The Canadian Government has awarded the Federal Government a $9.26 million (Can) grant to expand the delivery of COVID-19 vaccination services to high-risk populations and to strengthen national health systems.
With the award, the World Health Organization (WHO) Nigeria will be able to strengthen its health systems and raise demand for and uptake of the COVID-19 vaccine in a way that is integrated with routine immunizations and other Primary Health Care (PHC) services.
Benue, Kogi, Taraba, Kebbi, Katsina, Anambra, Ebonyi, Akwa-Ibom, Bayelsa, Delta, Edo, Rivers, Lagos, Ogun, and Ondo are among the states where the grant would be put into action.
