How many goals other than penalties has Ronaldo scored in the World Cup?
Five. Ronaldo has scored eight goals, five of which have come without the use of a penalty kick; the other three, his first against Iran in 2006, second against Spain in 2018, and final goal against Ghana at the FIFA World Cup in 2022, all came from the spot.
Ronaldo also broke the record for the event’s second-oldest goal scorer. Roger Milla of Cameroon, who scored against Russia in the 1994 World Cup in the US at the age of 42, holds the record for the oldest player to score in a World Cup.
With 118 goals, Ronaldo already holds the record for most goals scored in men’s football history.
